Welcome to the 2026--2027 school year!

 

I teach Social Studies in the STEM Magnet in Franklin HS. 

 

This Fall Semester I am teaching two sections of AP U.S. Government, one section of Principles of American Democracy, one section of AP World History: Modern, and one section of Introduction to Sociology.

 

In AP U.S. Government students will be taught following the curriculum guide provided by the College Board. Students will study five units in preparation for the AP Exam administered in May.

 

In AP World History we also use the curriculum guide from the College Board to prepare students for the AP Exam in May. 

 

For both AP classes, I have included more detailed information in the course syllabus attached below.

 

Principles of American Democracy is an on-level class for seniors, and is graduation requirement. I use the California Standards and Framework  to guide instructions.

 

Introduction to Sociology is a college prep elective and satisfy the G section in A-G college subject requirements.

 

I sponsor Key Club and the NY Times Puzzle Club. Key Club meets during lunch on Tuesdays and NY Times Puzzle Club meets during Nutrition everyday.
