Expectations

Be sure to always come to school on time and avoid being tardy in all of your classes. Once you have accumulated 3 tardies you will earn 1 detention or community service hour. Please pick up pick up the community service form from my office and serve the last semester’s and current required hours so these do not get in your way when graduation and other school activities come. If you have a tardy/excuse note from your parent or doctor, go straight to the attendance office on the day that you are absent and present your note.
 
Franklin High School considers a formal education a serious process and wishes to provide students with a school atmosphere that is conducive to learning. Students, while in the process of securing an education, are expected to dress appropriately and follow school rules based on LAUSD policies.
 
Electronic devices are not allowed during class time and passing periods and are subject to confiscation. They may be used only during nutrition and lunch.
 
Bikes and skateboards must not be carried around, brought to class, nor used on campus at any time. They need to be locked in designated racks.
 
Lastly, selling of any merchandise for personal profit is never allowed for everyone's safety. If confiscated, they may not be returned.
 
All confiscated item are returned only on Monday afternoons, at 3:30 PM through 3:45 PM at the Dean’s Office. It is on first come first served basis so once all students have claimed their items, the office will close and the Dean will be unavailable. Second time and habitual violators (combined violation of school rules) must come in with their parents to retrieve their confiscated items. Third time offenders can pick up confiscated items at the end of the school-year.
